Police in Abaco took into custody a 24 year old male of the Mudd, Abaco, after he was found in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

Reports are that on Friday 1st June 2018, shortly before 2:00am, officers acting on information, went to an area on Charles Sawyer Highway, where they conducted a search of a silver Honda Fit vehicle with one male passenger and discovered a black and silver 9mm pistol with a clip containing (10) live rounds of ammunition...

Police in Abaco are investigating an apparent drowning on Guana Cay of a 72 year old male.

Reports are that on Tuesday 30th May 2018, shortly after 4:00pm, police received a report that two males on a 44 ft. vessel, were swimming in the area of Bakers Bay dock on Guana Cay, when the other male was discovered floating in waters. CPR was rendered but the male victim never regained consciousness...

Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Hubert A. Minnis, centre, leads a high level delegation of Cabinet Ministers and Government officials to Abaco for a full assessment on yesterday's fire in the Mud settlement that has destroyed an estimated 55 structures, displacing some 150 persons.  There were no major injuries reported. The Department of Social Services and the Red Cross are providing assistance.

Chris Tyrone Ferguson age 31 years of the Mudd, Abaco, was arraigned on Monday 4th September 2017 before Magistrate Ancella Evans at the Magistrate Court in Abaco. He was arraigned on (7) counts of Shopbreaking, (7) counts of Stealing from a Shop and (1) count of Stealing from a Vehicle. He pleaded guilty to all the offences and was sentenced to three years for each count of Shopbreaking, (9) months on each count of Stealing from a shop and (6) months for Stealing from a Vehicle. All to be served concurrently...

A 23 year old male victim of Murphy Town, Abaco who was hospitalized at the Princess Margaret Hospital succumbed to his injuries on Saturday 17th June 2017.
