RBPF: Dangerous drug arrest in Bimini - Aug 12, 2018 - 8:28:59 AM

Reports are that on Friday 10th August 2018, shortly after 10:00pm, a Bimini resident was arrested by officers for possession of dangerous drugs with the intent to supply, after he was found in possession of a quantity of suspected marijuana. He is expected to be arraigned before the Magistrate Court early next week.

In the second incident, on Saturday 11th August 2018, shortly before 12pm, officers acting on information went to an area near Radio Beach in Alice Town, Bimini where they discovered in bushes, a plastic bag containing suspected marijuana. There were no arrest made in this matter and the estimated street value of the suspected marijuana is $5,000.00...

Police on the island of Eleuthera are investigating the alleged drowning of an adult male, Thursday, 9th August, 2018.

According to reports, shortly after 1:00pm, an adult male was swimming on a beach near to Tarpum Bay, when he was discovered lying motionless on the sea bed...

RBPF: Bimini Police make drug discovery and arrest one male - Aug 2, 2018 - 6:50:44 AM

Reports are that on Wednesday 1st August 2018, shortly after 4:00pm, police in Bimini went to a residence on North Bimini, Bailey Town, while armed with a search warrant where they discovered a plastic bag containing a quantity of suspected marijuana.

A 31 year old male of that residence was arrested and taken into police custody.

RBPF: Police investigate alleged suicide in Inagua - Jul 14, 2018 - 7:34:24 AM

According to reports, shortly after 10:00am, Friday, 13th July, 2018 police on Inagua Island were called to a home on Burnside Street, after a male was found hanging from the ceiling of his bedroom.  Medical Personnel on the island visited the scene and pronounced the male dead.

One male dead after Abaco traffic accident - Jul 13, 2018 - 8:06:37 AM

Reports are that on Saturday 7th July 2018 shortly after 1:00am, a traffic accident occurred on Queen Street, Sandy Point, Abaco, involving a gray 1998 Nissan Altima and a male pedestrian. The victim was transported to the Sandy Point Government Clinic via private vehicle where he was seen by doctor and later airlifted to New Providence for further medical attention.

On Thursday 12th July 2018, the victim succumbed to his injuries...

RBPF: llegal drug seizure in Andros - Jul 3, 2018 - 7:46:00 AM

According to reports, shortly after 8:00am Monday, 2nd July 2018, Andros Division Officers, acting on information went to a busy area near to Bahamas Agriculture Research Community (BARC), North Andros, where they uncovered a marijuana field with approximately 600 marijuana plants. No arrest was made in this incident. 

Investigations are ongoing.

Police on the Island of Exuma are investigating a boating accident which left one person dead and several others injured, Saturday, 30th June, 2018.

According to reports, shortly after 9:00am, a 40’ chartered tour boat was traveling in waters just off Barraterre, Exuma, with ten (10) tourists and two (2) Bahamians on board, when an engine exploded causing the boat to catch afire. Ten persons on board the boat were injured and transported to the mini hospital in George Town...

Reports are that on Sunday 24th June 2018 shortly after 11:00am, an American male along with family members, were reportedly swimming on Luna Beach that is situated on the northern side of North Bimini, when the male reportedly was seen floating in water. Abaco, Bahamas - Police in Abaco have discovered a large marijuana field in the Marsh Harbor area.

Reports are that on Tuesday 12th June 2018 shortly after 12:00pm, officers of the Abaco District, acting on information, went to a bushy area south of the Leonard Thompson International Airport, where they discovered 1000 marijuana trees ranging from two to eight feet in height. Police in Abaco are investigating an apparent drowning on Guana Cay of a 72 year old male.

Reports are that on Tuesday 30th May 2018, shortly after 4:00pm, police received a report that two males on a 44 ft. vessel, were swimming in the area of Bakers Bay dock on Guana Cay, when the other male was discovered floating in waters.
