RBPF: 2 males arraigned in the magistrate court in Abaco on causing grievous harm and stealing - May 22, 2018 - 2:00:59 PM

Obrien Reckley age 24 years of Murphy Town, Abaco, was arraigned before Magistrate Ancella Evans in Magistrate Court, Abaco on Causing Grievous Harm, he pleaded not guilty and was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until trial on Monday 18th June 2018

This is in connection with a matter reported to police on Sunday 13th May 2018...

RBPF: Police in Bimini discover dangerous drugs on 2 separate incidents - May 22, 2018 - 8:35:38 AM

In the first incident, on Monday 21st May 2018, shortly around 7:00pm, police in Bimini acting on information, went to an area in Porgy Bay near the Northern Grave Yard, where they discovered in a bushy area, a black plastic bag containing a quantity of suspected marijuana. The total weight is one pound and a quarter ounces, with a street value of one thousand and sixty dollars.

In a second incident, on the same date, shortly after 8:00pm, officers of the Bimini Division, acting on information, went to the Radio Beach area in Porgy Bay and discovered a white plastic bag near a meter box with a quantity of suspected marijuana...

RBPF Abaco: Armed robbery - May 19, 2018 - 6:52:21 AM

Reports are that on Friday 18th May 2018, shortly before 2:00am, a male reported that while on the outside of his residence in Hope Town, Abaco, two mask males, one armed with a firearm, robbed him off cash and personnel items before fleeing on foot.

Police in Abaco are investigating a shooting incident that has left a male with non-life threatening injuries.

Reports are that on Sunday 13th May 2018, shortly before 12midnight, police received information of gunshots fired in the area of a business establishment on Don McKay Blvd. Officers responded and further investigation revealed that the victim was shot while in the parking lot of that establishment...

Long Island police investigate alleged suicide - May 6, 2018 - 10:00:29 PM

According to reports, shortly after 7:00am Sunday, 6th May, 2018, police on Long Island, were called to the settlement of Whymms, after a male was discovered in a home, hanging from a rope tied in the ceiling. Local medical personnel were called to the scene; however, they were unsuccessful in reviving the male. He was pronounced dead at the scene..

Police search for missing boater in North Eleuthera - May 2, 2018 - 8:23:43 PM

Police and Residents on the island of Eleuthera are searching for a male who was reported missing at sea.

According to reports, shortly after 9:00am on Tuesday, 1st May, 2018, a male, believed to be a Haitian National, left Spanish Wells in a 17’ white Carolina skiff enroute to neighboring Max Patch Cay and has not been seen or heard from since.  

Shortly after 9:00am Wednesday, 2nd May, 2018, the boat was recovered washed ashore on Max Patch Cay, with the personal effects of the missing man; however, he was not located...

Illegal drugs recovered, adult male in custody in Cat Island - May 2, 2018 - 8:00:17 PM

According to reports, shortly after 9:00am on Wednesday 2nd May, 2018, Cat Island Division Officers, while at New Bight Airport, conducted a search of a male and his belongings and recovered a quantity The male was taken into custody and is expected to be formally charged before Magistrate’s Court later this week.   

Quantity of cocaine: 1 kilogram of suspected cocaine. The male had just on a flight from New Providence.

Police are asking members of the public, especially those on the island of Exuma, to come forth with any information they may have in solving an armed robbery, which occurred Tuesday 23rd April, 2018.

Reports are that on Saturday 24th March 2018 shortly after 5:00pm, police were called to a traffic accident on S.C Bootle Highway, where they met a grey Honda Fit vehicle with three female passengers inside that had apparently collided into a pine tree. EMS personnel were called to the scene and transported two of the female passengers to the Marsh Harbor Clinic in serious condition. The female driver succumbed to her injuries at the scene...

Reports are that on Monday 19th March 2018 shortly after 11:00am, officers acting on information went to the Northern Public Cemetery in Porgy Bay, North Bimini, where they discovered a bag that contained (2) .9mm pistols with (51) .9mm live rounds of ammunition and (4) magazines.

No arrest was made in this matter, police are actively investigating...

Reports are that on Sunday 4th March 2018 shortly before 11:00am, police were called to a local resort in Marsh Harbor, where the body of a caucasian male was reportedly pulled from waters at the rear of the resort.  EMS personnel responded and reported no signs of life.
