30 Illegal Migrants Apprehended in Abaco – Drug Possession Arrest - Jan 4, 2019 - 11:27:23 AM

Reports are that shortly before 5:00pm on Thursday 3rd January 2019, officers while in the area of Man O-War Cay and Scotland Cay, observed a 33 ft. Haitian sloop.

They were later joined by officers of the Immigration Dept. and took into custody (30) Haitian Nationals, (19) males and (11) females. The vessel was towed to the Marsh Harbor Government Dock....

Police on the island of Andros, are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fire which destroyed a government building, Friday, 21st December, 2018.

According to reports, shortly after 4:00pm, Police were called to the Local Government Complex in Fresh Creek, after receiving reports that it was on fire. Police and residents attempted to extinguish the fire, but were unsuccessful...

RBPF: Joint Operation by Police and Defense Force Officers in Bimini - Dec 17, 2018 - 9:57:09 AM

Reports are that on Sunday 16th December 2018, shortly after 11:00am, officers of the Bimini Division along with officers of the Royal Bahamas Defense Force, acting on intelligence and in a joint operation, went to a local resort on South Bimini where they boarded a 36ft. vessel that was moored at that resort and discovered (12) illegal immigrants (3) females and (9) males on board. A further search of the vessel was conducted and the officers discovered a quantity of suspected marijuana. The captain of that vessel, a resident of New Providence was arrested and taken into police custody...

RBPF: Police investigate alledged drowning in waters of the Exuma Cays - Dec 17, 2018 - 9:00:59 AM

Police are investigating an alleged drowning, Sunday, 16th December, 2018, which occurred in waters of the Exuma Cays.

According to reports, shortly before 11:00am, a group of persons were on a diving excursion in the Exuma Cays, between Highborns Cay and Allan Cay, when one of the divers, an adult male, was discovered unresponsive in the water. He was pulled from the waters, and CPR was administered, but was unsuccessful.

Abaco shooting Incident - Dangerous drugs arrests - Dec 11, 2018 - 6:42:36 AM

Reports are that on Monday 10th December 2018, shortly before 9:00pm, police were called to Southside Road in Marsh Harbor, where it was reported that three armed males, opened fire on a group of persons on the outside of a business establishment and fled the area on foot. A male victim received injuries to the leg and was transported to the local clinic where he was treated and discharged...

ELEUTHERA Police on the island of Eleuthera are investigating a stabbing incident, Saturday, 17th November, 2018, which left an adult male with serious injuries and another in custody.

According to reports, shortly after 1:00am, two men were at a nightclub in the settlement of Rock Sound, when they got into an altercation, escalating into one producing a sharp object, stabbing the other about the body...

Reports are that on Sunday 4th November 2018, shortly after 9:00pm, a male was standing outside a business establishment in Porgy Bay, Bimini, with a group of males, when a gunman clad in all black and armed with a weapon, opened fire on the suspect, shooting him multiple times about the body before fleeing on foot. The male victim was taken to the Bimini Clinic where he succumbed to his injuries...

Police on the island of Inagua are investigating an industrial accident, which has left an adult male dead, Sunday, 21st October, 2018.

According to reports, shortly after 7:00am, a vessel was attempting to dock at Morton Salt, when a male crew member became entangled in rope on the vessel and was seriously injured. The man, who was identifies as an Indian National, was transported to the local community clinic where he was pronounced dead...

RBPF: Police Investigates traffic fatality in Long Island - Sep 27, 2018 - 10:19:12 AM

Police on Long Island are investigating a traffic accident which left an adult male dead, Wednesday, 26thtSeptember, 2018.

According to reports, shortly after 2:00pm, a male was driving a blue 2008 Honda Accord car in the area of McKenzie Hill, Hard Bargain, Long Island, when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a wall. Medical Personnel were called to the scene, attempted to revive the victim but were unsuccessful. He was pronounced dead at the scene...
