RBPF: Additional marijuana fields uncovered in Andros -

An ongoing investigation led by the Drug Enforcement Unit assisted by US
Drug Enforcement Agents, has resulted in the discovery of three
additional marijuana fields in Andros on Monday, 18th December, 2017.
According
to reports, shortly after 9:00am Drug Enforcement Unit Officers along
with US Drug Enforcement Agents, returned to a nearby area in Owens
Town, Andros where they uncovered three (3) marijuana fields. An
estimated four thousand (4,000) marijuana plants were uprooted...

RBPF Abaco: Shooting incident -

Police in Abaco are investigating a shooting incident that has left a 17 year old male with injuries.
Reports
are that on Monday 18th December 2017 shortly before 10:00pm, a 17 year
old male was reportedly at a basketball court in Dundas Town, Abaco
when he was approached by another male who shot him before fleeing on
foot. He was transported to a nearby clinic where he was seen by doctor.
His injuries are not life threatening...

RBPF Grand Bahama: 2 more American females busted for drug possession -

Police in Grand Bahama arrest two more American females after they were
found in possession of Dangerous Drugs at the Freeport, Harbor.
Reports
are that on Saturday 16th December 2017 shortly after 5:00pm, two
American females both ages 39 years of Pompana Beach, Florida presented
themselves at the Freeport Harbor security check point in Grand Bahama.
When searched they both were discovered with taped packages of suspected
cocaine totaling 9lbs.9oz. strap to their bodies with a street value of
$75,000...

suspected marijuana, estimated weight 2lbs...

slim built, both clad in black hoodies with face covered and armed with

Intelligence led policing has led to five (5)
persons being taken into custody following the seizure of a quantity of
dangerous drugs on Saturday 9th December, 2017.
According to
reports, around 5:00pm, a joint drug operation conducted by Officers
from Drug Enforcement Unit assisted by US Drug Enforcement Agents,
resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of cocaine during a search
of a Haitian Freighter vessel...

According to reports around 1:00pm on Wednesday 6th December, 2017 Drug
Enforcement Unit Officers along with US Drug Enforcement Agents were on
routine patrol in the North Andros area when they discovered a Marijuana
field in the area of Owens’ Town. An estimated eight thousand (8,000)
marijuana plants were uprooted.
Then, shortly after 12:00 noon
on Thursday 7th December, 2017 Drug Enforcement Officer and US Drug
Enforcement Agents assisted by Officers from North Andros District,
returned to a nearby area in Owens Town, Andros where they uncovered a
second marijuana field. An estimated two thousand three hundred (2,300)
marijuana plants were uprooted...

Five men are in police custody in Bimini after they were found in possession of a quantity of dangerous drugs.
Reports
are that on Sunday 19th November 2017 shortly before 9:00pm, a team of
officers on the island of Bimini executed a search warrant at a
residence on Buccaneers Point, South Bimini and discovered 4.5 lbs. of
cocaine and 1.5 lbs. of marijuana. Five men, two Jamaicans and three
Bahamians were arrested and taken into police custody. Police are
actively investigating this matter...

Police on the Island of Bimini are investigating the discovery of human remains that was found on Friday 3rd November 2017.
Reports
are that shortly after 12:00pm, Officers were called to a beach near
the East Wells area on North Bimini, where a human skeletal skull was
discovered. The remains were collected and police are continuing
investigation into this matter...

Eleuthera,Bahamas - Police in Eleuthera took a man into custody
following the seizure of a quantity of dangerous drugs on Tuesday 31st
October 2017.
Reports are shortly after 8:00pm officers assigned
to the Eleuthera District were on routine patrol on Queens Highway,

Mildred Kessinger, a United States Citizen who resides in North Cat
Island.
Kessinger was last seen about 3:30pm on Friday 29th

Officers of the Bimini Division along with DEU Officers made a
significant drug arrest on North Bimini on Wednesday 20th September
2017.
Reports are that around 11:00pm, officers while on routine
patrol in the area of Kings Highway, North Bimini, observed a suspicious
vehicle. Officers stopped and searched the vehicle where they
discovered (9) nylon bags, each containing suspected marijuana. The male
occupants who are both residents of Bimini were arrested and taken into
custody...

Police in Bimini have in their custody three (3) males who were arrested for possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Reports
are that on Sunday 17th September 2017 shortly after 12:00am, police
were on mobile patrol on North Bimini when gunshots were heard, officers
then observed three males in the area of a business establishment who
on seeing the officers pulled out a firearm, discharged the firearm and
ran. Offices gave chase where they arrested all three suspects in the
area of a marina. Officers also uncovered a .45 pistol with a magazine
containing (2) live rounds of .45 ammunition...

RBPF: Suspect pleads guilty to 7 counts of shopbreaking in Abaco -

Chris Tyrone Ferguson age 31 years of the Mudd, Abaco, was arraigned on
Monday 4th September 2017 before Magistrate Ancella Evans at the
Magistrate Court in Abaco. He was arraigned on (7) counts of
Shopbreaking, (7) counts of Stealing from a Shop and (1) count of
Stealing from a Vehicle. He pleaded guilty to all the offences and was
sentenced to three years for each count of Shopbreaking, (9) months on
each count of Stealing from a shop and (6) months for Stealing from a
Vehicle. All to be served concurrently...
