Bimini police investigating fire at BPL - May 28, 2019 - 9:37:12 AM
Reports are that on Monday 27th May 2019 shortly before 9:00pm, police
were alerted of a fire at the power plant of Bahamas Power and Light
Company on North Bimini. Officers and members of the Bimini Volunteer
Firefighters along with volunteers from Bimini Resort and the community,
assisted in extinguishing the fire that destroyed two (2) main engines
of the power plant. Residents residing on North and South Bimini were
without power services...

RBPF: Police on the island of Abaco are investigating a shooting incident that has left a male hospitalized. - May 26, 2019 - 9:28:19 AM
Reports are that on Saturday 25th May 2019 shortly before 9:00pm,
police on the island of Abaco were called to the Marsh Harbour Health
Clinic, where a male presented himself with a gunshot wound to the face.
He reported that while in Murphy Town sitting in his vehicle, he was
approached by a male known to him, who pointed a firearm in his
direction, opened fire, hitting him in the face and fled. He was rushed
to the Marsh Harbour Health Clinic via private vehicle and was seen by
doctor who listed his injuries as serious, but stable. He was later
airlifted to New Providence to seek further medical attention...

RBPF: Police Investigates Plane Crash – Staniel Cay, Exuma - May 20, 2019 - 4:30:01 PM
Police are investigating a plane crash which occurred Monday, 20th May, 2019 at Staniel Cay, Exuma.
Reports
are that shortly after 10:00am, Police on Staniel Cay, Exuma received a
report that a plane had crashed at the airport. Upon arrival at that
location, Officers discovered that a white 402 Cessna twin engine
aircraft Registration CH6AAL had crashed into a chain link fence as it
attempted to land. No one was injured....

RBPF Abaco: Shooting Incident has left a male with injuries - May 17, 2019 - 5:18:55 PM
Reports
are that on Friday 17th May 2019 shortly before 11:00am, an argument
ensued between two males while in the Pigeon Peas community, when one of
the males withdrew a handgun and shot the other male several times
about the body before fleeing the scene. The male victim was taken by
private vehicle to the Abaco Health Centre and is said to be listed in
stable condition.
Police are actively investigating this matter...

Reports are that on Wednesday 15th May 2019 shortly after 12:00pm,
police on the island of Bimini, acting on intelligence, went to a beach
area just off Queens Highway, Alice Town, Bimini, where they discovered
buried in the sand dune, (2) packages containing suspected marijuana,
(4) packages of suspected cocaine, (1) 9mm pistol with (7) .9mm
ammunition, (1) magazine, (1) Glock .9mm pistol with (21) .9mm
ammunition and (1) extended magazine...

RBPF: 3 males in custody following a large drug bust in waters off Andros Island - May 3, 2019 - 5:30:45 PM
According to reports, shortly after 6:00am Friday, 3rd May, 2019 Drug
Enforcement Unit Officers, Marine Support Services Officers and U.S Law
Enforcement Officers intercepted a 27ft white speed boat in waters
twenty (20) miles southwest of South Andros. A search of the vessel
uncovered forty-three (43) crocus sacks with suspected marijuana. Three
adult Bahamian males who were on board, were taken into custody and are
expected to be formally charged before the Magistrate Court next week...

Exuma police investigating death of a male - May 1, 2019 - 11:45:00 PM
Police on the Island of Exuma are investigating the death of a male
whose body was discovered in a building under construction, Wednesday,
1st May, 2019.
According to reports, shortly after 8:00pm,
police responded to Queens Highway and Bahama Sound Boulevard, after
receiving reports that a male was discovered unresponsive in a building
under construction...
