Reports are that on Friday 31st August 2018, shortly after 6:00pm, police were called to a residence on Bayshore Road, Hepburn Town, Eight Mile Rock, where the lifeless body of a male was discovered in a vehicle. Foul play is not suspected at this time. Police will await an autopsy report that will determine the exact cause of death...

Reports are that on Wednesday 29th August 2018, shortly after 6:00pm, officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit and Rapid Response, in a joint operation and armed with a search warrant, went to a residence on Redwood Lane, where they discovered three packages of suspected marijuana with a street value of $8,000.00 and a large amount of cash in American and Bahamian currency. Three males were arrested and taken into police custody...

Reports are that on Monday 27th August 2018, shortly before 9:00pm, officers of Rapid Response Unit, acting on information and armed with a search warrant, proceeded to a residence on Bruce Avenue, where they discovered (3) .45 ammunition. Two males of that residence was arrested and taken into police custody.

Reports are that on Saturday 25th August 2018 shortly after 6:00am, a male and female employee of a business establishment, while entering their place of employment on Coral Road, were held up and robbed at gunpoint by a lone male armed with a firearm, who robbed them of a deposit bag containing a quantity of money.

According to reports, on Wednesday 22nd August 2018, shortly after 1:00am, police from the Fire Department were called to a building fire in Pinedale, Eight Mile Rock, I-95 corner, where they met a single story wooden structure completely destroyed by fire. Officers upon checking the burnt ruins discovered the remains of a body. Officers of the Central Detective Unit are also involved in this investigation. An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death. Investigation into this matter is continuing...

In the first incident on Friday 17th August 2018, shortly after 12:00pm, Officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit along with officers of the Central Detective Unit and Rapid Response, acting on information and armed with a search warrant, went to a residence on Hearne Lane where they discovered a quantity of suspected marijuana. A male suspect who resides at that residence was arrested and taken into police custody.

In the second incident, shortly after 5:00pm on Friday 17th August 2018, Officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit, while in the Coral Gardens area conducted a search of a dilapidated building, where they discovered a quantity of suspected marijuana and forty .45 rounds of ammunition...

Police in Grand Bahama are investigating a shooting incident that has left a male hospitalized in critical condition. 

Reports are that on Saturday 4th August 2018 shortly after 9:00pm, a male was at a business establishment on Logwood Road and upon leaving the establishment and while entering his vehicle, he was approached by two armed assailants who reportedly shot him about the body. The victim was transported to the Rand Memorial Hospital via EMS personnel where he is listed in critical condition...

Samuel Williams age 35 years of Hawksbill, Grand Bahama was arrested on Friday 27th July 2018 for Possession of Dangerous Drugs with the intent to Supply. He was arraigned before Magistrate Renkin Johnson in Magistrate Court #3 on Monday 30th July 2018, where he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 30 months at the Bahamas Department of Correctional Service.

Reports are that on Monday 23rd July 2018 shortly after 10:00am, two culprits entered a business establishment in the Port Lucaya area, where they smashed and grabbed a quantity of jewelry value unknown. Both persons are described as being dressed in female attire at the time the incident occurred.

Reports are that on Friday 20th July 2018 shortly after 3:00pm, police were called to a marina in West End, where there was an incident involving an American owned vessel and a group of American visitors that were reportedly diving in the area. One of the male visitor received serious injuries where his left arm was severed. He was transported to the Rand Memorial Hospital and is listed in serious condition.

Police are actively investigating this matter...

In the first incident, on Monday 16th July 2018, shortly after 2:00pm, Officers of the Rapid Response Unit, while in the area of Fawcett Lane, arrested a 23 year old male of Raleigh Drive, after he was found in possession of a quantity of suspected marijuana.

In the second incident on the same date, shortly after 4:00pm, Officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit, acting on information and while in the area of the Casuarina Bridge, in bushes near the canal, discovered three taped packages of suspected marijuana. No arrest was made in this matter.

In the first incident a male and female were arrested by officers of the Lucaya Division after they were found in possession of items that were stolen from a Resort on Princess Isle. Reports are that on Wednesday 11th July 2018 shortly after 10:00am, police received a stealing report at a local resort. Officers later arrested the suspects who were found in possession of all items.
