You may not realize but the recent changes to National Insurance is going to put more money in your pockets. Read on and find out exactly how:

to the National Insurance Regulation may be the most important social
reform legislation since National Insurance was established in 19974 -

Budgeting - 6 Lessons You Can Learn From The Governments Budget - Part 2 - Jun 8, 2010 - 4:24:00 PM
While we talked about the excitement being generated by the government’s 2010- 2011 budget last week. I am beginning to think that I really did not have a full appreciation of the impact until I participated recently in a distinguished panel discussion at the Epiphany Anglican Church.
And no matter what you may be feeling it seems two things are certain - we always find a way to frame the discussion in “political terms” and to blame “someone else” for our problems. I think that is why talk radio is so popular. As it allows you to take whatever your experience is and eloquently expound to a capture audience why your problems are the result of someone else’s action and not yours.
Yes the government is responsible for ensuring that the appropriate fiscal and structural policies are in place for the proper functioning and management of the economy but let us not forget that ...

Wow - what a stir the government’s 2010- 2011 budget is having. And I
am sure by now that you may even have your opinion on it usefulness and
ability to spur on economic growth in the midst of the worst financial
crisis you and I have ever seen.
And no matter your feelings about it, I feel that there are six very
important lessons that you can learn from the government’s budget. And
here are the first two lessons
The first lesson you can learn is that
you need to review your financial position. And there is really
no better time for you to do this than now as we enter the month of
June. Believe it or not this means that your year is half over and that
you would have earned and probably spent almost half of your income for
this year. That is why now would be a good time to sit down and take a
look at how you have handle your finances...

Retirement - It Takes More Than Money To Have A Full-filling Retirement - May 11, 2010 - 9:35:29 AM
When it comes to
retirement I am sure that you may be thinking it is all about how much
money you may saved that is why you need to continue reading. Because
you may be surprise to find out that when it comes to having a
full-filling it takes more than money. "Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat." - Sun Tzu
While it was refreshing to read about all the recent retirement summit and the various discussion that is now going about
“employers doing more to make employees aware of savings and investments” and “
you needing to save more in order to escape the poverty trap when you retire”- Money alone does not automatically guarantee a full-filling retirement...

Retirement - Say What, Retirement? - May 4, 2010 - 2:22:48 PM
When it comes to retirement are you as engaged as you should be? Well here are some compelling reasons why you should be and how you can jump start your retirement planning.
Recently, I read a report by the Employee Benefit Research Institute
(EBRI) and the American Savings Education Council (ASEC) which shows the
findings of an annual survey they do to determine the attitudes of
working and retired Americans about retirement.
What struck me about the results of this survey was how many persons
are not planning properly and seem disconnected from one of the most
important financial issues they face - retirement.

Financial Planning - What Would You Do With A Million Dollar? - Mar 30, 2010 - 6:35:42 AM
How you ever consider what you would do with a million dollars? If you have not then it about time you do. And this article will help you understand why you should answer this question sooner rather than later.
This is the question Lincoln Bain asked on his Face Book page recently
-
“If I gave you a million dollars today
what would you do with it?” He got more than twenty-nine
responses the last time I checked and here are some of them:
1) I’ll give it away and bless others who are less fortunate than I;
2)Invest in my own business; 3) Buy my dream home and car and then invest;
Sit on it quietly until I'm over the
excitement and able to make prudent financial decisions so I wont go
broke again; 5)
Pay all the bills and put the rest in the
bank. When I make a profit then I would buy a house and a new car...

Parkinson's - It Could Be the Wild Card in Your Retirement! - Mar 22, 2010 - 5:55:48 PM
You may not know or have even heard about this disease but Parkinson's could be the wild card in your retirement.
I was reminded
recently as I moderated the 1st Annual Kingdor Parkinson Speech
Competition of an article I wrote back in 2007 -
“What’s
Happening to Granny” by one of the contestants who referenced
it. And I would like to share it with you as Parkinson could be the
wild card in your retirement.
“Mummy, mummy come quickly, Grammy just fell! What
happened? Grammy said she was going into the bedroom and as she got up
she just fell. Oh Lord, this is the third time mummy’s fallen this
week, pass me the phone let me call Jan!...

Retirement Secrets That No One is Telling You About Your Retirement. - Mar 16, 2010 - 8:01:52 AM

I am understanding
now what is meant by the expression “time sneaks up on you like a bug on
windscreen.” You see I am used to seeing the grey in others and while
you know it will happen, you never expect it to happen to you.
Well to my surprise it is happening to me and at first would you believe
that I was shock! Really I was shock to see the grey that appeared in
my beard and try desperately for it not to show by shaving even my
mouth-stash. But little that I realized - that was just not going to
work. So I have decided to get use to it and accept that I am aging-
gracefully hahaha!

Women - It’s Time to Take Control of Your money! - Mar 9, 2010 - 10:45:09 AM
Women when it comes to your money here are three reason why there is no better time than now to take control of your money.
March 8th was
International Women’s Day celebrated under the theme “Equal Rights,
Equal Opportunities: Progress for All”. And to mark the event the
Bureau of Women’s Affairs of the Ministry of Labour and Social
Development held a half-day workshop that focused on women and girls
issues and I was amongst the few men that were fortunate enough to be
thorns amongst so many beautiful roses.
While all of the presentations were informative it was Theresa
Moxey-Ingraham (Hon.), former government minister and member of
Parliament that really caused me to sit up and take note as she
presented on “Women’s Access to Political Leadership and their
Experiences in the Electoral Process.”
