Damah - Jan 12, 2011 - 5:50:31 PM

Hosea.4: 6.  My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

This word DESTROYED in the Hebrew is: damah, daw-maw'; which has several meanings as follows: (1) to be dumb or silent; (2) hence to fail or perish; (3) to ease, (4) to be cut down [ off ] ), (5) be brought to silence, (6) to be undone.

The time has come for each of us to take a good look at the way / manner in which things are transpiring around us; Nationally and Internationally.  Have you noticed that in matters where it’s expected that certain persons (Leaders) should speak up; they are dumb / silent?

A New You or New Year? - Jan 3, 2011 - 3:45:45 PM

Are you going to remain the same or make the long over due needed changes ?  The days of the weeks and the months of the years of 2011, are the same as those of 2010, they remain Sunday through Saturday and January through December.

The New must begin with you:  2Corinth.5: 17.  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

My Brothers / Sisters, I’m not talking about religion, what denomination or none denomination you belongs to, nor am I talking about your four-walls church building; I’m talking about your relationship with God through his Son...

For Unto Us... - Dec 22, 2010 - 8:37:22 AM

This is a twofold Christmas article, one (I) of the folds speaks to those who believes that their assignment is to prove beyond all shadow of doubt that December 25th is not Yahshua Messiah (a.k.a. Jesus the Christ) birthday and the acknowledgment and celebration of the same on the said date is paganistic.

Isa.9: 6.  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace...

A Unified Voice - Dec 17, 2010 - 9:59:45 AM

As our country (The Bahamas) goes through this difficult / challenging times where crime and lawlessness seems to be the order of the day.  If the church could ever get on one accord and speaking with a unified voice; the devil and his kingdom of darkness would be in a great deal of trouble ?  But unfortunately this is not the case; as every church / religious leader is busy with their own agenda.

If there is such a gallop pole / ratings of nations that are proficient in quoting / reciting the scriptures the Bahamas...

Hear my cry - Dec 7, 2010 - 8:24:26 PM

Ps.61: 1.  Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.
: 2.  From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

If there is ever a time that we as a nation should be crying out to God (Yahweh) that time is now.  No matter who you are or what’s your in life there are times when your heart will get overwhelmed. And its in these moments based upon your relationship with God; that you should be able to cry out to Him, knowing that He not only hears you but will also move on your behalf...

Loose him - Nov 30, 2010 - 8:11:01 AM

John.11: 44. Loose him, and let him go.

As we close out this year 2010, and open / walk into the New Year 2011, it’s of the utmost importance that you be freed from whatever negative situation or whoever (negative friends) that’s holding you hostage.

What you were able to get away / get by with in 2010, you most certainly will not be able to do so in 2011.

This New Year will bring about a zero tolerance for mediocrity; therefore you’ve got to be fruitful and multiply; it’s no longer just trying to survive, but rather you’ve got to win; and win big....

O Give Thanks - Nov 25, 2010 - 7:30:50 PM

Ps.136: 1. O Give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

In spite of how things might look right now, and what you’re going through / experiencing. Don’t ever forget or ignore the fact that you MUST always give God (Father Yahweh) thanks.

For in the midst of your justifiable or unjustifiable complaints, concerning your situation; the very breath that you’re using to lodge your complaints belongs to and comes from Him (Yahweh ) Please hear this !

Why sit there? - Nov 16, 2010 - 1:52:31 PM

2Kings.7:3. And there were four leprous men at the entering in of the gate: and they said to one another, Why sit we here until we die ?

Famine, recession / challenging times was nothing new to the children of God in what we call the bible days; as there was various reasons a famine occurred. But here’s the kicker; your obedience to God’s word during the famine determined the affects of the famine to your household / nation.

It is often said, from a religious perspective “that there is no recession in the kingdom of God” in most cases this statement is said to help motivate...

Repairers of the Breach - Nov 13, 2010 - 9:04:58 AM

Isa.58: 12. And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

The word Breach in the Hebrew is: perets, peh'-rets; which means (a break, breaking forth or a gap).

As one meditate on the word breach and look closely at the condition of The Family structure, The crime wave, The economy and most of all The Church; you don’t need to be a rocket scientist or a Harvard graduate to know that there is a serious breach within the walls of our country...

Deal with your Goliath - Nov 2, 2010 - 8:25:52 PM

1Sam.17: 46. This day will the Lord deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee, and I will give the xarcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.

It’s time for the saints of the most high God, to take a firm stand and deal with the many Goliaths that have taken control of their communities, their marriages, families, schools, finances, health and peace.

Somehow, many persons are of the view that as long as they pray about their situation; the enemy (Satan) is going to back off / away...

Home Abusers - Oct 25, 2010 - 7:25:21 PM

Despite all of the revelation that’s circulating throughout the church today; it’s of the utmost importance that we understand this fact / principle which is:  The church as we know it, will and can only be as strong and as affective as the families that makes up the church

(1) Strong family values, morals and principles will result in a strong church,
(2) Weak family values, morals and principle will result in a weak church

Yeshua Messiah likens the church to a bride (a wife) of which He will present to Himself without spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish...

He Leadeth Me - Oct 19, 2010 - 1:01:23 PM

Ps.23: 1. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
: 2. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

The Lord / Yeshua Messiah, is the Chief Shepherd of the church and pastors are the under shepherds of His church.

One of the greatest danger and misconception in the church today is where we as pastors have taken the approach that the church / congregation of which we are pasturing belongs to us; in other words it’s our church.

This delusional / deceptive spirit has gotten the better part of church leaders worldwide...

She’s no longer blind - Oct 12, 2010 - 12:20:14 PM

There was once a saying that said “Lady Justice is Blind”  well, this saying maybe true based upon which side of the fence you’re on in today’s society.

If you’re a poor black person from over the hill / the ghetto not only is Lady Justice blind; but there is even a possibility that she was born with eyes in her head, concerning you feeling the full weight of the law.

Now, if you’re of a foreigner, a lighter shade  / Caucasian; then not only does Lady Justice has the ability to see, but she’s also inclined to turn her head...

A Perishing People - Oct 5, 2010 - 3:10:07 PM

I thought that it would be appropriate for me to include various translations of the bible with reference to this most quoted scripture by the religious mind-set throughout the Bahamas.

With this in mind, I’m honored to know that there are leaders in our society (mostly religious leaders) who take offense to that which God has inspired me to write.  My response to every facet of leadership is this: “Who the cap fit,  let them wear it”

KJV:
Prov.29:18. Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
NLT:
Prov.29:18. When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild. But whoever obeys the law is happy....

Don’t Cry - Oct 1, 2010 - 1:17:08 PM

Don’t cry out, about the country’s crime and high murder rate that‘s been displayed on our streets / in our communities; if you’re not willing to cry out against the wicked, corrupt seeds that are being sowed behind closed doors by our leaders (Political, Religious, Civic, etc;)

The ignorance of the masses and the wicked, corrupt and hypocritical practices of the leaders are the food that feeds the monster of crime which has many facets such as  (1) Murders, (2) Rapes, (3) Stealing, (4) Housebreaking, etc, etc, etc;

The vast majority of our young men that are caught up in the crime wave that’s sweeping our nation; don’t have the academic qualifications and business suave...

There was a Bahama Land - Sep 29, 2010 - 3:15:49 PM

Listen up; you political junkies (F.N.M’s, P.L.P’s  & The Rest) who will sell the tombstones of your Mother’s grave for the sake of your political party.  It is quite obvious that the future of generations to come means very little to you.

Is there no real men left in this country that stand up and say to The Powers That Be “NO WAY, THIS LAND BELONGS TO OUR CHILDREN’S CHILDREN and IT’S NOT FOR SALE !

Now, I don’t expect the religious Bishops, Doctors, Apostles, etc; to take a stand when it comes to national issues such as the sale of the BAHAMAS, because the vast...

Walking with God - Sep 14, 2010 - 11:50:44 AM

Walking with God is something that requires a relationship with Him and not just religiously knowing of Him.  The evidence of religiously knowing about God is clearly seen today throughout the religious church world; as there are many religious leaders who are mesmerizing their congregations with claims such as: “God told me, to tell you that He’s about to anoint you or bless you with this or that”  And the itching ear, gullible, naïve religious audience goes wild.

Relationship with God has been made accessible for all humanity through His Son, Yeshua Messiah (a.k.a. Jesus the Christ). The prerequisite for such relationship is having faith in God and being a disciple of Yeshua Messiah...

A Solitary Place - Aug 28, 2010 - 10:08:22 AM

Mark.1: 35.  And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

As believers it’s imperative that we follow the example of Yeshua Messiah (a.k.a. Jesus the Christ) who lived a prayer filled life;  He consistently departed into a solitary place to pray.  The answers to all of life’s challenging questions, and the ability / power to overcome every tests and trials that one faces today can only obtained through a life of prayer and fasting.

There is a universal cry for leadership (Political & Spiritual), also cries for employment, financial resolution, cries for the cures for sickness and diseases, and also the restoration and preservation of family values and morals.

He’ll get it to you; if He can get it through you - Aug 22, 2010 - 3:48:44 PM

God will get his blessing to you; if He can get it through you:

There are lots of teaching, preaching and other materials circulating within today’s church about the blessings of Abram.  While it is Yahweh’s will to prosper and bless His people, many won’t walk in the realm of material blessing as Abram did due to their distorted view and purpose of being the recipient of such blessing.

Watch this! Here’s the primary purpose of Abram’s blessing: Gen.12:2.  And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

The last six words of the above scripture are: and thou shalt be a blessing:  He ( God ) will get it / the blessing to you; if He can get it through you...

His ways or His acts? - Aug 15, 2010 - 10:04:06 PM

Ps.103: 7.  He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.

In the Hebrew the word way/s is: derek, deh'-rek; which has several meanings as follows (1) a road as trodden; (2) a course of life or mode of action, (3) a conversation, (4) a custom,

Having a personal relationship with Yahweh as Moses did puts the believer in the position whereby He can make known / reveal His ways.  Unlike the believer without a personal relationship with Yahweh, He makes know His acts.

As modern day saints, we’re under a much better covenant (New Testament) than the saints of the Old Testament, from Moses’ time until the Messiah...
